I too would enjoy taking time off at the pinnacle of my managerial career.

He's made an arse of it lets face it. I wouldn't be at all surprised if his next job is in the Scottish Championship.

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Next Morton manager?

I don't doubt he has the money to take time out of the game if he wants to but let's face it, he's Monti'd it spectacularly.

It depends what he wants. Maybe he genuinely wants a break. He certainly has given nothing away in terms of his future ambition. Well not that I've heard or read.

Hopkin will have a great reputation when going for a role and he has not screwed it by managing Livi in premeiership and potentially getting relagated etc.

He will be considered by a lot of teams when their positions come up.

Nonsense - like all football managers his stock falls by the day while he's out of the game. He could well end up like Jimmy Calderwood raging about his rejection from the game in the very near future. He's made an absolute Zhivago of it, which is a terrible, wee shame for him.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

I thought you would have all been friends drinking Czech Beer at Cafe Continental together. I guess its not what you drink, its who you drink with?

Knocked back jobs that others would have jumped at, as under no financial pressure to take a job he didn't really fancy... that's a real shame.

Livingston likely to be fighting a relegation battle, which would have seen his stock go down rapidly. Manager of a team that's bottom of the league at the end of September, or a manager who's most recent achievement was to win back to back promotions?

Which would you rather be if you fancied a shot at a bigger job?

Pretty bizarre behaviour though, Colin Darroch.

If he didn’t fancy the jobs, why not just stay on at Livingston and carry on the good work he did there?

Guessing he wasn't keen on the budget. You really need to find out my middle name... if it helps with your obsession.  :thumbup2:

I’ll have to ask someone who you didn’t block on Facebook in a fit of rage when a steward’s girlfriend owned you, Colin Darroch.

Shows a bit of a lack of confidence from “Hoppy” if that’s the case though- with the possible exception of Hamilton they were always going to have the smallest budget. Each to his own but effectively retiring yourself in your forties as you suggest isn’t what I’d have expected of him.

Yes, as I've said before, block neds on Facebook... as you can't reason with a ned.

I'd expect Hoppy to want back into football, but might decide to stick with his business interests.

Yet you continue to try on here, only to get owned every time.

Good for him with his business interests, but as you say, money isn’t an issue. He’s a wealthy enough man now, that I would’ve thought that his football is the main channel for his future ambitions now. Strange that he didn’t say that he’d had enough of football for a while if that was the case though.

Do you think if I was bothered about being 'owned' that I would be here... it amuses me when I'm bored, or have a spare 5 mins.

I'm very surprised that Hoppy isn't in the game at the moment, as he loves his football.... a few years back I'm pretty sure he would have done the Morton job for free. If he wants back in, I'm sure he'll have the chance soon enough... a few managers will be gone before Christmas.

He left Livingston and IF he was offered the Morton job says it all about us to be fair

If he was offered the Morton job, and turned it down, there was obviously something that really put him off... and it wasn't the salary on offer.
