He was still a director at the same time as his father was running up this debt, and did nothing to prevent it, so as the heir he therefore deserves to get smeared with a ball of that shite.

He absolutely does, but an alarmingly large section of the fanbase seem to think ‘Crawford is killing the club!!!1!!’ is a valid point, as if his beatified father wasn’t actually 99% responsible for the situation we’re in right now.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Hey HikingTon, I'm not advocating anything in favour of Clydebank and am well aware that they have their own Scheme Goblin problem without having to adopt those of Glasgow's.

All I am saying is that they are one of Scotland's largest towns - similar in many respects to Greenock - and that if they didn't sell off Kilbowie when they did, they would have been still around today.

I do however love the small town chip-on-the-shoulder that many Greenockians have about the size of their town. All I said was Clydebank was one of Scotland's biggest towns - which it is - and then you get the howls of indignation. "Och naw, it isnae big toon, we were a big toon ower 50year ago" etc. East Kilbride doesn't have that same inferiority complex when it comes to Paisley for example. None of you are as big as Glasgow. GiFUYees. :D

i) Greater Greenock and The Famous aren’t even remotely similar to Clydebank and, erm, Clydebank (the list of largest urban areas on the same page demonstrates the full potential of the club’s local constituency)

ii) Glasgow may have a larger population but Greater Greenock still has the taller municipal building by one proud metre and always will.

Thanks for playing anyway.

Completely disagree. Regardless of who’s at fault here, he’s the one that’s paid the handsome salary so should be held to account, here.

If anyone should be smoothing things over it should be him. What’s the alternative? Throw someone like Brendan out in front of us to answer questions on a subject that isn’t of his doing and he’s got nothing to do with?

I was going to reply to TheGoon’s point about who was at fault for the blocking, but as I’m on my phone I’m not multi-quoting. The buck stops with the Chief Executive- that’s how senior management works. This blame game that seems to be going on has to stop and he has to hold his hand up and accept responsibility, whether he did it or not.

If meeting folk means that Morton retain fans that are sickened by their actions then it’s an absolutely necessary use of his precious time.

At no point in all my time supporting the club have I felt so close to chucking it, so I certainly hope he puts forward a convincing case when I meet him on Wednesday.

How did your date with the headmaster go, or were you stood up?

LOL wut, idiot found ^^^^^

I) Little Greenock and Clydebank are mirror images of each other, and are both full of scheme goblins who live up hills. Clydebank has the distinct advantage of being next to Glasgow whereas Greenock has the disadvantage of being next to Port Glasgow.

Just let that sink in.

ii) Scrambling for relevance, better luck next time.

Very well. He was taken by me turning up with 20 Mayfair, a bottle of Thunderbird, 4 rolls and a Daily Record.

So taken that he’s promised me a trip to Salou at some point in the future if I’m good.

Ah, so you didn't go.

Is that it, Gordon? Come on, surely you’ve got some better patter than that.

It is nearly half 8 on a Thursday though, so I suppose your groomer is far too comatose by this late point in the day to be providing you with a sharp one liner to pass off as your own.

No idea who you think I am.

Considering I’ve called you “Gordon”, you must be incredibly fucking thick if you have no idea who I think you are, Gordon.

Another, tragic fail on your part, although not quite on the scale of the botched Salou trip.

And it’s absolutely none of your business what I did yesterday.

I would normally back that stance Toby, however in this case you have gone very public on this forum regarding your invitation and what you intend to say. I would say it is therefore the business of Gordon and the rest of this Forum to be informed of the conclusion to your self advertised recent campaign to put yourself forward as a fearless spokesperson for our fanbase.

You must be incredibly thick then, my name is Bill. That's where the 'Bee' part of King Bee comes into play.

If it's none of my business, I can only presume your post telling us all about your cosy wee meet up with big Dave was an attention seeking exercise.

Did he put you over his knee and tell you what a naughty boy you've been?

I have all the details of Toby's meeting which must piss some of you off. Some very interesting stuff indeed and it would be messageboard gold. However, as he has chosen not to make it public neither shall I. So there.

This is why fan ownership at Morton hasn't a hope of succeeding.

I think you'll find that I was one of two people on this forum (Alibi being the other) who was directly affected by this shenanigans.

Those affected were invited to meet the Chief Executive to seek and explanation and voice their concerns. What I did wasn't on your behalf, or Gordon's. It was for my own benefit, and if it could help others whose opinions I care about, then all the better. At no point did I state my motivation for seeking a meeting him. Of course, I've chatted at some length with some of my mates, and been as helpful to Alibi as I possibly could be. That doesn't however mean I owe you anything.

If anyone on here is interested in what I've got to say they can ask me- as LargsTON has already said, I'm happy to tell them, even if I'm not actually friendly with them. But that courtesy doesn't extend to Gordon, nor does it to yourself.

I'm a spokesman for myself, and asked a couple of questions on behalf of some of my mates and acquaintances. Not for the fanbase, and certainly not for either of you.

Well I hope you get whatever outcome you're hoping to achieve Toby. I'm just a bit confused about how you've been sharing your innermost thoughts with everyone on this forum up until your meeting, and now it's suddenly become a private matter.

It's not a private matter. It's merely a matter that I'm not discussing with certain people.

I've already made it clear that if anyone who isn't yourself or in the wee clique that Gordon runs around for I'm happy to share my thoughts.
