Following on from a disappointing result on Saturday, we would like to know both how you see Johansson's future. You can vote for what you would like to see happen in the first question, and whether you think the club will share your viewpoint in the second question.

Can't see the board binning him but it's becoming more and more clear every week that he's struggling. I wasn't there on Saturday but by all accounts it was another absolutely dreadful performance along with the result. I think as long as we don't end up in any relegation danger (which there is a possibility) then they'll keep him on and give him the summer to get his own players in.

I expected more so far in this transfer window. We've lost 3 players and replaced them with 1 midfielder who asked to come on trial, not found by JJ.

I think the guy should be allowed to at least try to build his own team, we have had terrible luck with injuries and alike, he basically has no strikers at the moment. Personally I think all this knicker wetting is mental, see how things go in the window and see where it takes us. Give the guy a chance.

I have no compunction in saying that if some chap starts throwing grenades or starts using pistols, we shall kill him

Unless there's the most unlikely of turn-arounds between now and the summer, if the club decide that Johansson's being kept on they'll be lucky to be reaching 1000 for home games.

As it stands, we're probably stuck with him until the end of the season which means we're back to the start of the usual routine in the summer: new squad, needs time to build blah blah blah.

For once, it's time for the club to be utterly ruthless: bin him early and let somebody with some semblance of competence build some momentum until the end of the season and go into the summer with a solid base to build on. We can't keep getting to the summer and having to start again.

I would hope that the Greg Kiltie loan comes about and that we bring in another striker at least. At the moment our options are very limited and the way we are setting up dictated to a certain extent by that.

If we have no real threat up front and no one who can break quickly teams can press forward with impunity and it's all very well saying we limited them (whoever they may be), to shots from outside the box if we then give away silly goals.

Having said that it seems a strange time to have a poll like this in the middle of the transfer window when so much could/should change.........and if it had been posted at half time on Saturday the results, however they turn out would have been completely different.

That’s what I’ve been saying for a while, but if we get knocked out on Saturday it becomes harder to back him.

Injuries certainly aren’t helping us, and we need a few players in as soon as possible.

Not taking part in the poll, because my choice is let him see out the season, give him the summer to build his own squad, then give him a few months to see how we’re going.

Obviously that’s if we don’t get relegated.

yup agree 100%, some of the players we have need to have a good look at themselves as well.

Definitely needs to be allowed to add some of his own players and judged fairly on that.

Don’t buy this ‘he should be getting more out of this group’ patter; on the basis of what exactly? It’s f*cking clear most of them are sh*te.

It’s the usual impatience of Morton fans that expect instant success despite having largely a group of duds to work with. Johansson has been hung out to dry most weeks by gormless decisions made by individuals.

I think folk have failed to realise we weren’t exactly world beaters under McKinnon - have folk forgotten how the first game of the season panned out?

Asking for him to be sacked is absolute lunacy. How on earth is that sort of short-termism going to achieve anything? Who is a better option that isn't one of the usual duffers?

The last two matches saw us beat two sides playing the division above, then after a bad result there's a poll asking for opinions on his future. Utter madness.

Partick are bottom of the table, where they were last season means absolutely fuck all.

He has to be given time & see the Season out hopefully Win on Saturday & a decent result against Dunfermline the Week after.. We need forward Players badly & Injuries have killed Us.. But that's the breaks.. & Our biggest threat in front of Goal has played 4 games this season..

I'm prepared to give the guy a chance, but my goodwill is being tested by the apparent lack of prompt and urgent action to deal with our deficiencies, particularly the failure to bring in a striker to fill the gap left by Denny Johnstone's everlasting injury.  I have stopped watching the manager's post-match interviews as it's all so mild-mannered and vacuous.  Does he never get angry?

If we get to the end of the window and we haven't done anything to improve the team, we can pretty much write off this season - unlikely to go down and unlikely to go up or even get in the playoffs.  Very disappointing season.  It's clear that we are not scoring enough goals, so why not try to do something about that, even if it's only to play Tidser far further up the park where he can get a chance to shoot on occasions?

Gone from optimism to disillusionment in a very short time.

Don't really like the options on offer to vote. How can you select sacked at the end of the season without knowing how the next 5 months pans out??

For me, does he deserve to get sacked now, no! His record isn't great but not rubbish either-  5W, 6D, 6L in the league. Its classic mid table form and he won't get sacked for that.

Does he deserve to get sacked at the end of the season? Well that purely depends on how we do and that probably comes down to his recruitment over the next few weeks. If he brings in some quality and the results improve then again he won't get sacked in the Summer and will be allowed to build his own team for next season. I think it's also important that the performances improve as  even though he has won 5 games, only the Partick game at home by all accounts was a good performance, overall it has been really poor. If we continue to produce rubbish football and get dragged down the league and flirt with a relegation battle then he absolutely needs to go and its a lesson learned for the board!

Option 3 and 4 are pointless at this stage!!

Without a stand-out candidate waiting in the wings, and with relegation looking very unlikely (albeit not impossible), I don't think sacking him now is a good idea. The transfer window has been underwhelming, to put it mildly, particularly when you look at a few of the other signings in the division, but it's possible that he will do a better job in summer.

The problem is that no option generates any enthusiasm. He doesn't seem to be a great manager and he has all kinds of annoying media baggage. But ripping it all up and starting again for the third time in a few months is just as daunting.

It's possible he'll grow into the role and come good, of course.

We also need to understand if the BOD and Hawke have promised him any money. It could be a case of him being told with what he has. For me the board have to back him now with funds. Mckinnon could have left as squad was not good enough and been told he was not getting anymore funds for new players. Just a thought.

Asking for him to be sacked is absolute lunacy. How on earth is that sort of short-termism going to achieve anything?

No, what is 'absolute lunacy' is handing over nest season's campaign to a clown who can't beat part-time outfits now, has sent the likes of Tidser and Millar's games massively backwards in four months with his shite tactics and whose grand transfer strategy turns out *not* to be 'Finnish youth international gems' (the straw being clutched just before the window opened) and is actually 'Dylan Dykes, utility man from Ross County'. Truly inspirational stuff!

And nobody is suggesting that Johannson should be sacked for short term reasons as you have wrongly claimed: the rest of this season is a mediocre write-off, not a relegation battle even with him in charge. He should be removed for medium-term reasons instead: he has done absolutely nothing to be trusted with rebuilding the squad rebuilding in the summer and mounting a credible play-off challenge. He is a James Grady mk.II and just like that equally useless novice we must cut our losses this season before he does serious damage to the club next time round.

Who is a better option that isn't one of the usual duffers?

Not that it's ever the job of the fanbase to headhunt talented managers on behalf of a full-time chief executive at a professional football club, but Brian Wake is quite clearly a better option as his managerial CV shows.

Johannson's management CV by contrast is a blank sheet of paper with 'Alfredo Morelos' scrawled across it in crayon twenty times. He's dung; get rid.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

The problem for me is the style of football promoted by JJ is awful to watch and perpetuates the Duffy view that we are an inferior footballing squad punching above our weight against the giants of Scottish football including Brechin and Alloa. I just don't see where JJ wants to take the club. As for his interviews...
