  1. https://spfl.co.uk/news/press-release-record-prize-money-for-viaplay-cup#:~:text=Each participating club is guaranteed, will top £3 million guaranteed 55k another 27k if game selected for television if get a favourable draw and we make the qtrs, takes it up to over 86k Hopefully get a couple bodies in next week as sounds like there’s negotiations going on from Dougie’s interview yesterday
  2. Did you get searched today ya fuckin fanny?
  3. So you’ve not really got a point. Good yin ya fat, speccy, baldy mutant . .
  4. What’s your point? Crawford feels like a decent signing for a position we need filled, and is an upgrade on Jacobs. The club is in a worrying position, leaving the manager with a threadbare squad, no CEO, no development team and no programs. Both of these things can co-exist. Just because there’s negatives doesn’t mean the positives don’t bear commentating on.
  5. Pretty happy with that one, good age, plenty experience. Striker next please.
  6. True, I took a bit of the edge off it as I didn’t want to sound too hysterical - but I don’t disagree, it’s looking potentially very grim. There’s still time before the window shuts but I don’t have a great deal of optimism at the moment at how the club is being run.
  7. Can’t help but look enviously at that Scott Allan signing and wonder why Arbroath are able to pull it off but not us. He’d have provided the ammunition for Quitongo with the amount of running in behind Quitongo does and addressed the real lack of creativity in the team. The depth of the squad is also worrying, we are a few injuries and suspensions away from not being able to put together a full bench at this rate.
  8. His best spell was under Deila, where he scored 40 goals in a season. It’s a myth that Rodgers got the best out of, just like Rodgers is a myth himself - although he’d love people to believe he got the best out of him. Griffiths literally and figuratively went awol under Rodgers. On the Griffiths debate, we desperately need a goalscorer and that’s what Griffiths is. I know he had a pish season at Falkirk, but he’s not that old and if he’s serious about making a go of it it’s worth the gamble for me. The only question marks are round fitness and ability, the goals should be there his attitude is right.
  9. Gillespie seems a bit out of the blue and it doesn’t look like he’s played much football in the last few years. Got to assume this one is down to Imrie knowing him from their Hamilton days - so sticking to the positives, at least the manager knows the player and to a degree what he’s getting. But it does feel a bit like a signing to lift the fans is needed as the natives are getting restless.
  10. If Quitongo can stay fit there’s a player in there and this could work out really well for us. We’ve not had anyone of that explosive style since he left. If he’s looking to get his career on track hopefully that means he’s willing to work hard on and off the pitch to get there.
  11. Good signing. Can only assume he’s improved with some more playing time under his belt. Good to get someone tied down for more than a year also.
  12. Thanks Craig, will try again shortly
  13. Yeah I’m having similar issues, so it’s going to need to wait until I can be arsed heading to Cappilow to sort it To reiterate what others have said, it shouldn’t be this hard to give the club money. I agree that some folk on the fence about getting their book, this could be an incentive for them to say ‘fuck it’
  14. Putting aside the judgements on his personality and character, based on pretty much zero evidence or knowledge of what he is like as a human being - and looking at it solely on footballing perforances, if this conversation took place 12 months or even 6 months ago the opinions would likely be different. He's away to a bigger club who have been playing in the top tier for a number of years, who have a better infrastructure, decent sized fanbase and a manager who is bringing him in to form part of a team he intends to win the league with. This is a better move for him than it is for Morton. Oware showed in his cup performances against top level teams that he has the potential to play at a higher level than the Championship and was the integral part of a defence that performed very well over 3 or 4 seasons. Chances are fairly high that he will be playing in the Premiership next season.
