HAPPY DAY

03/06/05

WE'VE GOT HIM! WE'VE GOT HIM

Prior to a Press Conference at Cappielow at 11.00am this morning we signed Derek Lilley from Premier League Livingston. This is a fantastic signing for us as at only 31 years of age Derek is still very fit and fast and will boost our assault on the Second Division Championship this coming season.

At the Press Conference we paraded our 3 new signings, all for a period of 3 years, namely, Ryan Harding, Kevin Finlayson and Derek Lilley. It is expected that a further two new players will join Morton before the start of pre-season training at the end of this month.

The players, when asked why they had chosen to sign for a Second Division team in preference to either a first division or premier league team, all said that Morton was a stable Club with real ambition to get back to the top level of Scottish Football plus the fact that the Club had a very enthusiastic and loyal band of supporters.

I am sure that everyone will feel really excited about these new signings which will prove that at Cappielow we are deadly serious about making sure progress in Scottish Football.

Hopefully the above news will inspire ever more of the football fraternity to join the growing band of season ticket holders. Season tickets for the new season will be available in around 2 weeks time.

NEW AWAY SHIRT

Just to keep the good news flowing I am pleased to say that our new 'away' shirt will be a sure fire winner with our support. We expect to have it available in around 2/3 weeks time. When you see it you will be wanting one of the new shirts for your holidays!!

Watch the web-site for details.

I hope that you are all coping with the football withdrawal symptoms! Not to worry, it will not be long before we are 'on the move' once again. I can't wait for the new season to get underway!!

Yours aye

Douglas Rae

Some good news for us there. Things are just beginning to come together now. Lets just see who these two 'new' signings that Dougie speaks of.

That and a big wad of money.

:D

New away strip - I wait with baited breath, bearing in mind that Vandanel are the worst suppliers we have ever had. Stock will be low and run out after approximately 3 hours.

Further supplies will be available in October, which really means November. ;)

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

I had the blue tartan many moons ago, so it would be nice to have the red tartan.

Does anybody know the reason for going back to the tartan? Commercial dept. looking to go for nostalgia and get more fans to buy the replicas maybe?
