With Bury going bust, does anyone else think it would be worthwhile being first in the queue to pick on their bones by approaching some of their journeymen players with the blessings of the PFA and offering them work with reliable wages for the remainder of the season?

Plymouth already signed half their squad during the summer, anyone who is still around is probably van Shite levels of dung. .

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

You'd imagine the majority of them would be looking a little closer to the Greater Manchester area for another side. They'd probably be able to get around as much as we'd pay them at other League 2 teams and even some Conference sides, plus they wouldn't have the expense or hassle of relocating.

Doubt we would have been anywhere near the front of the queue anyway. We did look like taking that approach by plundering Gateshead. We got Salkeld but don't know what happened to the other one we were after.

Said this before but have to hope that Hopkin has at least 2 centre halves in mind who can play fullback too. Before Tumilty left I wouldn't have been too fussed about a natural right back coming in but that's a priority too. Is there anyone in the reserves that could be brought in?

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come
