TRVMP
What irritates me is all the articles on this saying Leicester are in danger of being the first relegated champions since 1938. It's presupposing they're going down, which is deeply unfair. They have been rank rotten this calendar year but there is no way in hell Ranieri shouldn't have been given more time to turn it around. And a 2-1 defeat in Seville is a really weird time to do it. I feel badly for Ranieri, one of the game's good guys and this is how he's treated after what is without question the best league win of the 21st century and easily one of the best of all time. Looks like it was player power that did for Ranieri.
TRVMP
Looks like it was player power that did for Ranieri. Saw the same thing, pretty fucking shocking considering the heights he'd taken them to, but there you go. If the reports are true then you can see why the owners did it. It's easier to replace a manager than a first team squad. And around a hundred times cheaper.
capitanus
Saw the same thing, pretty ****ing shocking considering the heights he'd taken them to, but there you go. If the reports are true then you can see why the owners did it. It's easier to replace a manager than a first team squad. And around a hundred times cheaper. When I was down in London for the Scotland-England game a couple months back I was crossing the road at Holland Park Avenue, and I saw Claudio Ranieri at the lights driving a nice Porsche. I recognised the face and thought it was a mates dad at first (you'll know who I mean). Anyway, I'd imagine that Claudio Ranieri regrets not cashing in on Vardy, Albrighton, Mahrez, Drinkwater, Simpson and Morgan at the end of last season, when he could have got at least £100m for that lot and rebuilt his team. Nobody expected them to eclipse last season's achievements, but I'd imagine the supporters and directors would have been content with a mid-table to top half finish plus a decent European run. *insert signature here*
TRVMP
I didn't watch the game today, but apparently that was some reaction from Leicester. Without having seen it it's hard to say if it was a change of approach or if the players picked up tools again. Then again Liverpool are absolute dung.
