vikingTON
Is the general rule not to have a replay on the Tuesday/Wednesday about ten days after the original game? I think it was set up that way to avoid league games being postponed at short notice. The rule as set out by the SFA is that a replay up to and including Round 3 is played on ‘either the Saturday following the original match date... or in the second midweek following the original match date’ (or a different date if agreed with the SFA). The whole point of having a Saturday option exists at this stage is to account for twelve hour round journeys to some Wickerman village outfit in the arse end of nowhere. League matches are given no consideration whatsoever; it is simply up to the clubs to agree a mutually acceptable date based on the above criteria. It’s quite clear that GMFC were only ever concerned about getting their penultimate fill from Dundee United’s visit to Cappielow like the stupid, wee tinpot outfit that we’re being run as right now, so the fact that they managed to cock that up anyway is delicious. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Not mentioned anywhere I can see, but the Dundee United game has been rearranged for next Tuesday night.
pink_panther
According to the fixture list on official site our next game is on Saturday at Dunfermline. They managed to put in the Dundee Utd re-arranged match in the fixture list but couldn't find room for tomorrow's match. I know its nothing but they really are poor when it comes to these type of things
AyrshireTon
Ayr losing 1-0 at home to Dunfermline. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. vikingTON
The little people’s stupid, wee, pointless bubble being well and truly burst then. What a terrible, wee shame for them. TRVMP
It's held. 10th league goal of the season for Kevin Nisbet, who's looking like a superb signing for the Pars.

Won four out of their last five and are on an upward curve atm. Hoping we burst their bubble on Saturday and start our own climb up the table. I don’t wanna keep checking the Alloa and Partick scores after our own.
dunning1874
Since Crawford got the job Dunfermline have tended to go through four or five games bubbles of great results before reverting to being utter shit for the next eight or nine. You’d still make them favourites to beat us, but the fact that gang are sitting in the top four - while Ayr remain above them with a game in hand - tells you that a playoff place is there for the taking for anyone capable of basic competence. I’m not saying I expect us to be challenging for the top four, but even taking the budget cuts into account we shouldn’t be struggling to survive in such a hopeless standard of division. EanieMeany
The Morton Twitter account is, apparently without any trace of irony, asking if we'd care to hear from Dave bloody Timmins. ETA: Meant to put this in the squad thread. I'm sure we'd all like to hear about Dave's super-duper scouting skills though. AWMSC

EanieMeany
Yes, I'd like to hear his resignation speech. Indeed. On another note, Hopkin has been very strongly giving the impression that he didn't actually do a great deal to prepare his team for the first game against Brora and that he didn't know much about them. Isn't Timmins supposed to have a scouting remit? In which case, why wasn't he sent up to watch them? Or maybe he was, I suppose. AWMSC
