As much as it’s a diddy competition, they should never be allowed in again.

Kick out all the Irish teams, they've made a mockery of a once-proud an admittedly shan competition.
"Bohs" sound like a pack of absolute chancers, opening the stadium bar then sneaking in around three seconds before kickoff to say the game was off.
Hopefully the SPFL have some kind of financial penalty built-in to the tournament regulations.
Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

Bin the foreign teams, give us Highland & Lowland league dross/other non-league diddies. We all dream of Fort William away.
Is the incorrect answer. Replace the Colt teams with the top 6 clubs in the Highland and Lowland League and we have a good tournament. Plenty of opportunities to visit new grounds and have weekends away on the piss.

A great tournament apart from the colts, and the Irish and Welsh teams should remain. Can't wait for the day we get drawn away to one of them.
Hope the greeting faced bastards don't ruin it before then.

The tournament gets a hard time of it, but as you say it is generally only from the torn-faced types. Fans have moaned for years about over-familiarity in Scottish football where you're visiting the same grounds constantly. The tournament isn't perfect, but it's certainly a far more attractive prospect from a fans perspective than it was before the foreign teams were introduced.

I really don't get why fans of a club who's lot in the leagues is perpetual s***eness would object to a jaunt to some yokel village in Wales.

If we were showing any signs of anything better, sure, but pretending we're some some sort of giant that's fallen on hard times like Dundee United rather than a mid-table Championship team going nowhere (at best) as things stand is more than a bit delusional.

Some of us want more for Morton than "visiting some yokel village in Wales." That mentality sums our fanbase up.
Pumping some Welsh bumpkins on a weekend piss up for the fans, and getting promoted aren't mutually exclusive m8. You can want and have both.

In what way are demanding competence and wanting a weekend away getting wrecked in Wales/Ireland incompatible goals?

Wanting to go to Wales for any non-military reason is incompatible with life.
