So, Rangers vs Aberdeen at 12 and Celtic vs Hearts at 7.30. It's an unprecedented decision, but it's certainly an interesting one. The Aberdeen fans are up in arms as their first train gets into Queen Street at 11.45 or something like that. If, and it's a massive if, the SFA manage to pull this off without incident then you might see this sort of thing happening more often.

Why on earth wouldn't they just let Aberdeen play second? Not just for the fans but for the team, that's the difference between a ridiculous-o'-clock start in Aberdeen and a leisurely journey down.

Now before Gavin goes, I'd like to ask him one more question.

Apparently Aberdeen vs Rangers* being the early game was the ultimatum Police Scotland made to the SFA.

I can understand it to a point, I dare say if they were the evening game the Aberdeen fans would probably miss their train back up the road anyway. If I was the Police I'd rather have Aberdeen fans inconvenienced coming down the road than masses of them booking up to stay in Glasgow and ending up out in the town at night.

There's a whole load of ways this could go wrong, but Rangers losing to a dodgy last minute goal in extra-time and their perma-raging fans emerging into pubs starting to fill up with Celtic fans sounds like a laugh.

Carnage will ensue. I can see Glasgow turning into a huge battleground as a result of this stupid decision.
Magic, eh?

**** them. Every one of their cup semi finals should be held at lunchtime in Scotland’s largest city.
The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..
So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

I see Celtic are whinging about a draw to determine what game gets played at Murrayfield. You'd have thought that with their their captain gurning away about how bad Hampden is the other week, they'd be desperate to play somewhere else.

Aberdeen are now bleating about not getting their ticket allocation at Hampden like the massive bunch of hypocrites that they are:
"In good faith, we gave this information to our fans - only to find out yesterday that, in order to get the North Stand, we'd have to sell virtually all of our 16,800 tickets in a matter of just a few days, putting us in an impossible position.
Allocations have to be done on a basis which puts supporters first.
Except of course when Aberdeen are playing a provincial 'diddy' outfit in the semi final, in which case the venue should be moved to Edinburgh and Aberdeen given fully three-quarters of the ground because they won a tinpot Super Cup in the 1980s.
My heart truly bleeds for them*.
