Dundee United make it two wins from two with a second half comeback against Partick Thistle. Partick led 1-0 at half time through a Steven Saunders header. United equalised just before the hour mark through former Morton loanee Lawrence Shankland, before Peter Pawlett poked in a Shankland shot to seal a 2-1 win for the away side.

Morton made amends for last week's loss at Ayr, running out 4-1 winners at home to part-time Alloa. Bob McHugh put the Wasps to the sword, with a hat-trick, rounded off with an overhead kick. Reece Lyon, who today signed a long-term deal with the club, started and finished a clinical counter attack in style. Andy Graham, one of five former Morton players turning out for Alloa, was red-carded in a day to forget for Peter Grant's men.

Dundee edged out Ayr United in a tight affair at Dens Park. Andrew Nelson played the role of super-sub, with the striker coming off the bench to clinch all three points for the Dark Blues.

Inverness turned around a one goal deficit to overcome Championship new boys Arbroath in the Highlands. Former Morton striker Bobby Linn opened the scoring half way through the first half, but the away side were unable to hold on until half time, with Arron Doran equalising on the stroke of half time. The Caley Jags then scored what proved to be the winner late in the second half through substitute Miles Storey.

Queen of the South and Dunfermline drew 1-1 in the Borders. Both teams were looking to improve on disappointing draws on the opening day. Kyle Turner opened the scoring for the visitors early in the first half before returning striker Gary Oliver equalised for Queens.
