Time to go, Crawford

Don't want to sound as heavy handed as I have in the past but I'm not sure it's ever going to get better. A decent portion of the fan base (myself included) have never seen us in the premier division and it's pretty unimaginable for me at least that that will change

When even those who until recently I'd always thought as being die-hards are chucking it, then you know the situation is grim. With falling crowds and income, and apathy seemingly on the rise, I just can't see a way of turning this around, Even if we stay up this season, I can't see us being able to remain full-time with the dismal crowds we're now getting. I really fear that our decline is now terminal. Best I think we can hope for now is part-time Airdriesque perma-diddydom. Sad and worrying times.

So what's preventing Crawford selling? Is it the fact that those who allegedly wish to own the club are still unable to - or is there something else?

Genuine question.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

Genuine question.

He likes the status symbol, wants some of the 'debt' paid back and genuinely supports the club. The emphasis has shifted between those things of late but I'm still not convinced he actually wants to sell.

Has no one bought the Easedales' Rangers shares yet? That's another situation that doesn't seem as clear cut as others make out. No one wants to be seen giving them money but their willingness to sell has to be questioned given the length of time they've held the shares.

Genuine question.

It doesn’t matter what ‘Crawford’ wants to do: he is chairman to act as the mouthpiece for what GC wants to do on all major decisions surrounding the club. And there’s the small matter of the £2 million worth of IOUs left by Douglas Rae’s failed regime that is keeping GC in the game and preventing anyone sane from expressing interest in owning the club.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Who would want to buy that many shares in Rangers? They're haemorraging money.

Is the problem not that any shares they do own are unsellable because there’s no mechanism to trade other than to existing shareholders, and with each debt to equity event they lose value?

It sounds like there’s no scenario that they take the money they put into Rangers back to put it into Morton.

Give the Rangers shares away they are a liability.

If they need approx £12 million to see them by New Year and I have lost count on their accumulated current losses Morrelas and Kent will be cheap at the end of the season.

There has to be a legal contract which ties them to these shares.

I fear GC family members want blood. This will mean selling the ground and car park if no one comes up with a few quid. Currently operating on within means basis and trading debt v our donation.

Sadly looking more likely seaside leagues, part-time and games at Ravenscraig.

Their Chairman is stepping down in the new year. Dunno if that will matter regarding the shares.
