McKinnon hearing

Which would tie in with Raymond's seeming misapprehension that the club "wouldn't stand in his way."

I know we're a bit tinpot but did he really think the absence of a release clause meant we'd be tearfully waving him off at Cartsdyke to a divisional rival?

Indeed, asking for it's removal (setting the groundwork from day 1 for a snaking).

Again, people can't blame the club for it not being there if that's what it took to get their man and they were happy to be protected by standard compensation terms.

Interpreting that as you can walk free has shown McKinnon up to be not just a massive snake, but a moron.

That Jim Sherry prick hasn't quite got his due of abuse either. First of all, if your name is Jim Sherry, the principle of nominative determinism holds that you're going to be a greasy fucking spiv regardless, and thus it's proved.

60k a year for someone without a job for 8 months and who made a right roaring James Hunt of his previous job wants to leaves after less than 90 days in his new position despite being backed to the hilt by his chairman. Greedy , greedy bastard. Has a flat in Glasgow too , so no great commute either. Hope all chairmen/women read the tribunal findings and consider his actions when he gets punted by Falkirk.

£40k was his net salary.

I'm away out for an hour, when I come back I expect Raymond's pied a terre in Glasgow to be the property of Morton, and Zak Rudden to be tasked with its conversion to the Alex Williams Presidential Library and Bookmakers.

Any rubbernecking Falkirk fans reading this can fuck off as well, all your legal posturing has been absolute shite from day one and your fiscal ownage at Greenockian hands is only halfway done.

This is what baffles me about it. I don't think Morton have done anything to spark it, I'm just astounded by his behaviour at every turn. It's not just greed, it's fuckin stupid.

At the time a few people said that it could be the end of his career if it goes tits up at Falkirk and with the facts being laid out as they have been, it really could see him fail to land another job. Here's hoping.

Don't buy that. There must be more to it.

Take a minute, step back from the laptop and reflect on the reality that everytime you post you are making a complete arse of yourself. It must really hurt, to have it in black and white, that the team you allegedly support acted honourably and won the case.

You have me very wrong mate. I'm as glad as the next fan that we won the case. But, what did we really win?

At the end of the day he walked out of his contract and signed another for a different employer so he has breached his contract. Falkirk will not want to go to court and will try to come to an amicable agreement with Morton I would imagine.

You never know. Their idiot chairwoman is still playing the victim card.

I am not an expert in employment law so stand to be corrected on this, but given that the breached contract was between Morton & McKinnon, I believe we will need to pursue him as opposed to Falkirk. Whether we have a case to pursue Falkirk for compensation due to tapping up in light of today’s ruling is another issue, but in terms of the contract, it was the snake who breached it and not Falkirk fc

That's my take on it too. Given that compensation from breaches of contract are only given for financial loss, it's hard to see what financial loss we've incurred.

You can sue a third party for deliberate (not merely careless or negligent) inducement to breach a contract. It’s not straightforward, but it’s possible.

You're discussing regular jobs. Football isn't a regular job and is subject to all manner of bells and whistles. EU law governs football transfers and holds that FIFA and national association regulations are applicable here, and one of these is that the value of coaching staff contracts is, unless otherwise agreed, equivalent to the outstanding salary balance.

Maybe one day this will get struck down in court, as with Bosman and Webster, but as things stand that's how football works.

Nobody cares about what you believe champ; we're discussing facts instead.

Unlucky.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are
