This is not to absolve the defenders as some of them are making truly appalling choices, but McAlister and Jacobs are playing out of position and Strapp is still what, 20 and with a handful of games at this level? We should be looking to McLean to use his 42 years of experience to organise and make the game as simple as possible for them, but he’s posted missing in that regard. The only person communicating well in that backline is Ramsbottom.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

No, that’s just you trying to apply a standard ‘get the baw on the deck!’ whine to the flow of the game. Our passing didn’t change at all: they just rocked up the park and our defence parted like the Red Sea as usual.

The hoof ball didn’t lead to our goal. It started with some interplay on the left, then someone running at their defenders. Can we agree that it’s ineffective to launch balls at McHugh and Nesbitt?

I wholeheartedly endorse your description of the defence.

ETA Not against long balls in behind, so long as the people hitting them actually get them beyond the defenders/not in the terraces
