24th January -

2015 - Morton 2-0 Dunfermline

Live on BBC Alba and the original source of the famous photoshopped teary-faces/smug faces crowd photos.

http://youtu.be/d23MoFjFmQw

2009 - Livingston 2-2 Morton (McGuffie, Wake)

http://youtu.be/oGwx9yHmoQI

 2004 - Morton 2-2 Hamilton

A double by Alex Williams helps save a point as the wheels start to come off our 2nd division campaign. Our next meeting with Hamilton that season - oh dear.....

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

Also 24th Jan (can only embed two clips in a post, it appears).

1998 - Celtic 2-0 Morton (Scottish Cup R3)

http://youtu.be/Cd92avLdAJA

1995 - Dumbarton 2-1 Morton

A blip in our efforts to get out of Division 2. After Rajamaki had been gifted an empty net, our defence promptly rested.

1987 - Morton 6-1 Montrose

Six different scorers - Alexander, Robertson, Clinging, McNeil, Doak, Jimmy Boag

1981 - Morton 0-0 Hearts (Scottish Cup R3)

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

ON THIS DAY

Today marks the 34th birthday of former Morton winger David O'Brien. David followed manager Allan Moore in joining The Ton from Stirling Albion, making 101 appearances. Happy birthday, David!

In 2009, a poachers goal from Brian Wake and a towering header from Ryan McGuffie sealed a 2-2 draw against Livingston.

In 2015, Morton beat Dunfermline 2-0 at Cappielow in front of the BBC Alba cameras, with goals from Ross Caldwell and Peter MacDonald sealing the win. Morton would go onto take 12 points from Dunfermline en-route to sealing their tenth league title.

On a thread entitled On this day. I commented on a post posted today. And quoted it.

I will not disagree with your assertation of me though. That, I will agree is quite accurate!

Chris Smith playing in our defence. I would say that goal sums up his contribution to us.

25 January.....

Remember this from 2003?

http://youtu.be/96aCq4sWLJs

There was a 5-2 win at Airdrie in the cup in 2011 - the goals are all individual clips on YouTube and easy to find. Goals came from David O'Brien, Brian Graham, a double from Allan Jenkins and a Carlo Monti penalty.

Two seasons ago we lost 2-0 to Sevco at home, with the Cowshed managing to get one of their players sent off.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.

Not good for long throw ins.

Or raiding the bottom of the biscuit tin.

Looked like he managed to alright anyway.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

Got absolutely soaked behind that goal at Ross County, but somehow managed not to moan about and say it was a safety risk like the Scum do at our place.

One of the Ton fans went on the pitch at HT to kick a ball back to the subs - and got lifted!

That's the most drunk I've ever been at a Morton game. Myself and Callum had done a bottle of vodka in between Largs and Stirling. Couldn't remember the goals til I saw them on Sportscene.
