Homeless World Cup Fan Club - Letter From Mel Young

Dear Friends,

The Homeless World Cup has simply exploded onto the global stage.

Since we started in 2003 the number of projects which are connected with us has risen dramatically. We are now connected to 48 countries and we estimate that a minimum of 10,000 homeless people are using the event to change their circumstances. There are probably a lot more.

This explosion has made the scale of our operation much bigger then we ever expected.

To realise their expectations and to allow our projects to realise their potential we urgently need more resources to keep up this momentum. We are simply straining at the leash just now and I'm very keen to build on what we have achieved.

I'd really like you to become involved. So, we've set up the Homeless World Cup Fan Club for people from all walks of life who have indicated they'd like to support us to unite and kick off poverty. I'd love you to become a member.

We are keen to raise one million pounds this year to help develop our work. We have various levels of Fan Club support so you can be involved at just the level you like.

If you can afford to make a really big difference maybe you or your company can get involved at a higher level and support an entire project for the year or help fly a team or a player down to Cape Town this year. But really, I'm just keen for you to join the Fan Club.

As ever, many thanks for your interest and support. Please let me know if you need any more information.

All the best,

Mel Young
