Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Morton

Until people get their head out their arse the problem has and until we get new owners has been the Rae's. They have never wanted to take Morton into the Premier league and puppets like Hawke are just happy taking a wage and taking us the fans as fuck them they will still give us their money. Surely Tuesday is now the time to tell these charlatans that are stealing our money enough is enough.

We are heading for League one which reduces the calibre of Manager who would be interested.

I know controversial but I wouldn’t be disappointed if it was Yogi Hughes.

Neither would I, I’d be fucking seething.

I always think at our level and below the importance of a great man manager is at least 75% compared to 25% tactical acumen, so I'd like our next manager to be someone who commands the respect of his players like Duffy, but with a bit more ambition.

What we can't afford is another absolute wet blanket as a manager.

Some of the scary names out there like John Hughes are light years ahead of some of our recent managers including our current one which shows just how grim things have been.

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

I really wanted JJ to succeed, as he seemed the perfect match for us at first but I feel sad that it hasn't worked out for him. I think that he will probably realise this too, and the next two games are crucial for us so if he can't get the team up for these he needs to be honest with himself, his bosses and most of all, the supporters and admit it.

I want anyone who can keep us in the league and then build a squad. Wouldn't even be adverse to someone youngish who has managed at a lower level - James McDonaugh from Edinburgh City maybe?

I reckon the board will go for someone out of work so we could be looking at some joke like Hartley.

Hartley did a very good job at Alloa then at Dundee. Yes Falkirk was disaster but I actually think he’d be a good appointment! A point to prove and should have learned from his Falkirk experience!!

Just a wee thought as a player/manager with someone with experience alongside him:

Dougie Imrie anyone?

Don’t like the idea of a player-manager, but Imrie seems a bit random. Has he been coaching at Hamilton? I’ve no idea (generally or about Imrie).

The absolute last place he should be is Morton, because Morton are following a youth model and he's not very good at that.

I think we are now bringing to see/realise the level of a club be operate at and that we really have no right to demand Premiership football as for 30years we have done **** all.

Livingston, St Mirren and Hamilton are in the Premiership. Ayr are pushing for a promotion spot, Dundee United are a shambles, Falkirk and Partick are at the bottom of the Championship with bigger budgets than us. Airdrie and Raith are stinking out league one.

Previous years' failures on the park have got nothing to do with the current crop of players and the financial margins in Scottish football are fine enough to not be the defining factor. We've been hampered in recent years by the Rae's poorly thought-out (and then poorly executed) plans. We're neither too big to go down nor too much of a minnow not to expect better.

Unfortunately it looks like we're going to have to find the cash for a second management team severance package in a year as well as taking a financial hit for getting pumped out of all the cups and potentially finishing 8th or worse. Next season could be grim as well unless Crawford is happy to put his hand in his pocket.

Yes he has been part of Hamilton's coaching set up for the past few years, and done very well apparently.

The good thing about a player/manager or player/coach is being able to be a bit more hands-on and would be ideal for a seasoned pro looking for his first management job.

One manager whom I really like: Gary Holt.

He probably wouldn't come to us as he will be destined for bigger things, but it begs the question, who is the next Gary Holt or Jack Ross out there?

Still need a board with ambition to succeed.

I'm finding some of the comments about Crawford disgusting, tbh. He definitely cares more about the club than he's ever been given credit for.

The JJ reign just hasn't worked out.

The club needs fresh ideas and until there is a buyer we are stuck with Crawford. Unfortunately JJ has been a disaster but he needs to bin him

Sooner rather than later.

I agree. Like his father before him, he is a Morton supporter and his heart is in the right place. A lot of people should be very careful in what they wish for.
