According to the Sunday Mail we'll be taking on Brazil in a 'glamour friendly' in London. That would be a quality weekend and an easy away point for the membership!

aye I can see it being a costly weekend but hopefully the tickets will be reasonably priced

I think the opposite will be the case.

I'm expected near £50 quid or somethimg like that, but the travel down and if staying for say 1 night will be cheap enough.

And carry outs are the same in London as they are here.

Its a strange one, I can't see why we can't play Brazil at Hampden.

I think it would probably be something to do with the CBF's (Brazilian Federation's) contract with Nike- if it's played in London, expect the Emirates Stadium to be the likely venue, as has been the case in Brazil games with Eire and Argentina in recent years. No coincidence that Arsenal are also sponsored by Nike, although I'm sure I also recall Brazil playing Wales at White Hart Lane (Spurs are sponsored by Puma) so perhaps my theory's just bullshit.

Im hoping no more than £35 a ticket anymore than that then the organisers need their heids felt! They'd struggle to fill Hampden at those prices for a friendly, how many went to the Argentina game?

here today, gone to hell

Thats the thing though, its reported that Brazil charge £1m for appearance and I don't think the organisers will give a fig about us, they know we will travel to that in numbers, grumble about the price, but pay it anyway.

Over a barrel as they say.

I dont think its a case of Scotland getting a game against Brazil and paying for it - is it not more of a home game for Brazil for their European based players? If it was at Hampden then there would be a definate appearance fee and high prices but as far as I know Scotland have been invited and haven't asked for this.

Hopefully the costs are low as I would like to go to this one.

I meant we can't afford to take them to Hampden as you state.

I just reckon the prices will not be kept low to suit us, they will charge what they charge no matter what our opinion is. Anyway, the polis have still to be asked.

See what you meant now.

Surely they wont charge massive prices for a Scotland game in England that not many people will be interested in though? Brazil aren't the big draw they once were.

The sheer amount of Scots down south and in particular the London area should resulkt in a very healthy attendance if you consider how many would travel from up here.

Not enough to fill an 80000 seater stadium though especially from looking at the attendances from the last few friendlies.

No, but in that may lie the problem.

If the organisers think they can attract 20k+ Scots to the game, no matter what they charge, they will do it to offset the empty seats.

A bus to this might be do-able. If they let us know on time.

Hope its not £50 a ticket, way over the top, even £35 if a bit OTT
