Wake fucking wept, they really know how to stoke up enthusiasm for a new campaign don't they?

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Would much rather the money spent on taking 20 odd folk to Portugal was spent on wages tbh.

Surely that sort of outlay isn’t necessary if we’re looking for places to cut costs.

I had heard that it was just the development squad that was going away, has it been confirmed as the first team then?

The person who told me said that their boy is going there with the first team.

Maybe it's sponsored?

No idea what they'd be doing out there but I am a huge advocate of endurance training in hot and humid weather, personally. Obviously not to the point of danger, but it really does make everything else so much easier.

Certainly does seem some questionable expenditure during a period of cost cutting and the fact they shout the term 'reduced budget' at every opportunity.

- Trip to Portugal

- New dugouts

- Installing a gym

- Ice baths

Not quite Iron Man's white elephant turnstiles level of needless expenditure, but certainly a bit of a head scratcher.
