Dumbarton Vs Morton - Prelude To Sligo Rovers Away

McKinnon has stated in the interview after the Alloa game that he's looking to rotate, but given we've already used one competitive cup to experiment, I'd be unhappy if he weakened us significantly in this one;

Gaston

Tumilty Waddell Buchanan Iredale

McAlister K Thomson

Tidser

Telfer                                  Bell

Oliver

You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks!

Play the youth team.

Get in the sea.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Our record in this competition is atrocious. The youth teams being included is a horrible thing and any match again but one of them should be rightfully boycotted but it should be a winnable tournament and would love a day out at the final so we shouldn't take any competition we are in lightly.

We shouldn't be throwing in youths, for no more important reason than none of them seem good enough to start a game.

Gaston, Bell, Oliver, Iredale, Waddell, Thomson K. and Thomson R. (If ready) should come.

Tiffoney can do one.

Glad most fans seem to agree that we should be trying to win this cup. Will never understand the logic behind forfeiting these opportunities when fans are paying to go to the games. About time we done something in this tournament.

In principle we should be trying to win every game we play. There can be times when the manager may have to weigh up up the importance of resting players after a difficult or intensive run of games but that doesn't come into question at the moment, particularly with a free weekend coming up.

Any cup success would be welcome and winning is a good habit to develop so I hope whatever experimenting Ray does he does it very much in the context of being of second importance after winning.

I'll be quite miffed if Ray decides to forego this cup, having already pissed away our League Cup campaign.

Get a team out there to win the game. End of.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

I'm sure he won't

Won't forego or won't put a team out to win? :P

He'll want to win it just like he should.

Morton aren't in a position to A. turn down the revenue and B. turn down the chance of some silverware.

And we the fans shouldn't be turning down the chance to piss off to some far-flung part of Ireland/Wales for a jolly.

Hound this lot.

TIME FOR CHANGE!

What's all this about revenue? There's much more to be made from a high league placing than the pittance we'd get from winning the diddiest of diddy cups. If you want a trip to some Welsh shitehole book Megabus, buy a gallon of Eldorado and fill your boots.
