Falkirk won't go down*. I imagine they'll strengthen well in January and on current form wouldn't be surprised if we finish below them.

Edit - unless they get hammered with a points deduction.

In the last 7 games they've got 9 points and we've got 8 so they aren't exactly flying either.

Just hope the punishment fits the crime- 10-20k will be nothing to them in the grand scheme of things.  Lets hope they need to pay 70-80k minimum.  As Scott says above, if its minimal, it sends out the wrong message for future deals!

Hang them out to dry!

No, but they've went from an absolute shambles to building some sort of momentum before the transfer window which was always huge for them; we, on the other hand, are regressing by any reasonable measure. Given our own manager has proclaimed Falkirk's position to be a "false" one, Morton seriously need to improve to be sure of staying above them.

We were also left with no backroom team at all and a disillusioned squad so that shouldn't be ruled out either.

I'm not saying we're in great shape but there's a lot more to it than just a dodgy manager.

Not surprisingly yet another court case outcome good old Uncle Harry got wrong !!!!! Despite him having the info days in advance from a hitherto solid source who suggested the case was thrown out of court. Here is his fact based analysis from last week.....

"If Mortonjag’s information from a hitherto rock solid source is correct, it’s not a laughing matter at all.

Not only was the complaint thrown out of court but the complainer received a stiff rebuke for ‘frivolous and inventive’ evidence."

Oh never change Ernie, please never change.

I have a sore arm from pointing and laughing at you and your equally ITK clown college pals over the years.

You are the gift that keeps on giving.

I'll maybe comment more on the case when I stop enjoying the deliciously dripping irony of the fractured physician being wrong again.

Oh, and once more ...... points and laughs.

Two Uniteds but the soul is one, as the Busby Babes carry on.

Seems likely that they're going to lose a chunk out of their January budget. Even if they appeal and it drags on beyond January, they'd still have to be prudent and manage their budget to take into account the possibility of an upcoming fine/compensation...

At our level, compensation of about £50k seems reasonable.

You're absolutely fizzing and it's glorious to watch.

Seems strange that the SPFL found in our favour given that 'thu Eeezdales' actually forced King Snake out 'cos he wouldn't play their sprog' (sweetie women Morton fans, August 31-now). Mind when McKinnon mewled that 'the truth will come out' after the Cappielow game and roasters on here started poring over it like they had unearthed the Rosetta Stone?

Sad!

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Possibly the highlight of our season - reading that tears and snotters statement is glorious. Falkirk being outed as chancers and McKinnon identified as a snake should be no surprise but it still makes for a great read. Hopefully, the full statement demanded forthwith by the bottom-feeders is brave enough to identify the losers as liars. Did I say glorious? As for the ITK sweetie wives :1eye:.

10 point deduction will do nicely.  As well as £250,000 damages from Falkirk for the breach of three contracts.  Possibly McKinnon sent to the Hague for trial as a war criminal.  that should about cover it.

Glorious! Here's hoping they get absolutely levelled with a decent fine or even better a points deduction. Is there any precedent for this out of interest? Any other teams been found guilty of this in the past?

It seems to me there are two separate but related issues.

One is the beach of contract which I would have thought is between Morton and McKinnon et al. Morton's case in that regard is now clearly strengthened.

Two is the breach of SPFL rules and it is to be hoped that the sanction imposed will be playing related like a points deduction or a transfer embargo.

Why on earth would I be fizzing? Another daft comment...

Relieved SPFL found in our favour - hope Falkirk get hammered.
