See pic below, thank god we have taken the right decision..

You need to pay to read it,but it's a no so thats all that matters.

A 'Tele exclusive? Really?

Edit to add: Correct decision from Mr Rae to restate his/the Club position from last weeks article in The Herald. Pleased about this.

Correct decision made.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

Correct decision although strange that the official site did not lead with this story instead of the telegraph "exclusive"

I don't think there's a problem with giving the exclusive to the Tele. It helps maintain a good relationship between the local paper and the club, and helps the local paper continue to sell papers.

It should, though, appear on the official website tonight for all to see.

So does that mean Thursday's meeting is off?

I don't think it should - we need to make it clear as a fan base that its not something we want and the more that go to this the better.

Its one thing chairmen saying no but another when a large amount of fans in the league are saying that too. That is where the real decisions will come from when other chairmen see what the feeling is.

Good decision by Mr Rae. I suspect fan pressure has played a big part in this decision.

Good to Hear. Well Done Dougie.

Need to watch that they don't force through proposals for Scottish football reconstruction as stated in McLeish report. Is that 2 leagues of 10 ? Will Morton benefit from it?. will this allow NEWCO back in?

That was my wee niggling worry - some sort of revamp to allow 'newco' a step nearer to the SPL.

Trust that the meeting tomorrow will still go ahaed.

Reconstruction is still required, separate from Newco. I think the options are different now as if Newco Rangers were voted into the SPL a restructured league could have opened the door to 'punishment' and relegation to tier 2 of any new structure. That seems impossible now.

Only concern I have is the new 'Bomber Brown' initiative which takes almost all the football coverage in the Sun today. High profile involvement for 'legal advice' of Donald (Cowdenbeath) Finlay QC.

Others have mentioned the purchase/renaming scenario elsewhere, I'm just a bit concerned this may now be a more likely possibility.

Correct decision made. Can we get on with looking forward to the new season now?

Hopefully. It would've killed me having to miss Morton games for a year so delighted Morton have made this statement. :D

I think we can all hold our heads up a little higher, well done Mr Rae !!!! I hope that if league re-structuring is on the table that it can happen for the betterment of the game.

I am not even that confident Sevco 5088 The Rangers will be in a position to start the league but if they are all well and good.
