Pater Houston.. Assistant Manager..

He was on Radio Scotland recently saying that he didn't fancy going back into management but could see himself in a mentor role to a younger manager. He's always been a bit of a reluctant manager - he insisted until taking the Dundee United job that he saw himself as an assistant rather than as a manager in his own right - but he has a decent track record.

As an assistant manager i'd say that's about as good an appointment as we could hope for.

Do Houston and JJ have a history together?

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Hopefully a good fit then.

I'd say his stock as manager is still fairly high as well, normally when somebody drops out of management it's with their reputation in tatters.

On the face of it this is a great appointment.

Is also a good match with the team, a balance of youth and experience. Encouraging appointment.

Best of luck to him. From Scottish Cup winner with DU in 2010 to the assistant role at Cappielow eight years later.

Let’s see if he can handle the step up.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

When one of BBT's 'exclusives' goes on to actually happen.

I exclusively revealed Derek Lyle’s arrival 2 weeks prior to the club announcing, much to everyone’s exclamation.

History has repeated itself. BBT has GOURLAY’D the whole forum.

Unfortunately Marlon Harewood didn’t get to signing on the dotted line.
