SPFL Clubs to Vote

A 7-7 split means each team has a free Saturday.

I wouldn't fancy being the team who sits idle on the last day whilst others could collude to relegate us.

You arrange the fixtures after week 32 so that the team sitting in 8th (as well as 7th in the top half) has the free Saturday on the last day instead of a probable dead rubber: if you're monumentally shite enough to plummet fully five places over the six games you have left then you deserve to go down regardless.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Stewart Gilmour absolutely ripped Inverness apart this afternoon on Sportsound, saying straight away that self interest prevails with every club, as if we thought any different.

Kidding on that they were giving up a £300,000 payout next week when a promotion would give them at least £1.2 million for finishing bottom of the Premiership if promoted next season, as will likely be the case next season.

We all know that Dundee are a horrible club, they're been that as long as I can remember, back to the days Ron Dixon owned them, but for Inverness to claim the moral high ground on this is an absolute joke. I really hope they suffer as a result of the eventual outcome of this.

Partick threatening legal action and have received advice that Dundee’s original ‘no’ vote should stand. The SPFL couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery.

It's quite a sobering thought that it took the SPFL to be the responsible party to prevent a full football fixture card including an Old Firm game and all that they entail from going ahead within the last month.

Good points re: the drawbacks of 14 team divisions. Cheers everyone.

16 teams, 30 games, no split? I really, really want something to change and to move away from playing everybody four times a season. As said above, the SPL mob will probably veto any such move.

Off to check Manpreet’s Twitter, see how he’s taking the news.

Hahahaha Partick and Falkirk consigned to the third tier. Absolutely glorious.

Time for immediate reconstruction to lock the door behind them, no more minnows diluting Scotland's premier 22 clubs.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

30 games is insufficient. The current setup is fine.

Outrageous that Budge is chairing the group to come up with reconstruction plans. Clear conflict of interest there.

Yeah but how many votes do you need to approve reconstruction? Any proposal that obviously just tries to save their skin would receive enough vetos to deny it anyway.
