capitanus
More of the same, please. Alloa don't pose too much of a threat but we should never be complacent when it comes to diddy teams. We should deal with them all in the most merciless manner possible and send them packing back to the seaside leagues in the most painful way possible. Discuss. *insert signature here*

TONofmemories
It would by vintage Morton to crumble against a so-called 'lesser team' after a few good results. TIME FOR CHANGE!
AyrshireTon
I don’t expect them to be as horrendous at the back as Partick Thistle were. Many teams (aside from Ayr) have had to grind out a win against them this season. Could be a frustrating day but we ought to have enough in us to get the 3 points. McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up. Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control... That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie. You are giving a shower of hapless bumpkin nonentities way too much credit whilst discounting Morton's greatness in the most Gormless manner possible. There is a reason why they are bottom of the league at the end of the first 1/3rd of the season - it's because they are shite. This year's Brechin. No credit should be given to them. Behave yourself. TONofmemories
Keen not to adopt the Jim Duffy approach of "they'll be extremely hard to beat" etc etc etc, but it's more about us than the opposition. What i mean by that is that thus far we've alwasys suffered a set back of some kind following decent results. I hope that's not the case and we give Jim Goodwin's rabble a hounding. TIME FOR CHANGE! BishopBrennan
Anyone showing complacency towards Alloa should watch the highlights from the away game in the first quarter. For all we got an excellent second goal at the right time, they created a lot in that second half and could quite easily have scored at least one goal. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then, and we're still going to be comfortable favourites, but it's still worth bearing in mind. Anyway, Saturday is a win-win situation. We're either contributing to our own point tally, or helping to create a yawning chasm between Alloa and Grangemouth. You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks! EanieMeany
We should be beating Alloa, no doubt about that, but I expect them to pose a tougher challenge than Partick did. Alloa seem to be one of these teams who are actually decent apart from not having a few better players, if that makes any sense. They're not actually bad as such, they just lack the individual quality to be good, as opposed to the likes of Brechin (or our relegated rabble...) who were just an all-round catastrophe. None of which is to say we shouldn't be after another multi-goal pumping. AWMSC

Next. They're not. They have twice the points Falkirk have... Of course we should win this one comfortably but this is Morton - countless times over decades we have failed to win games that we should cope with easily. once we are 3 goals up I might start to relax a wee bit. Madton
Talk of a humping and "this years Brechin" is way off for me. They have taken points off DU, Thistle, ICT, QOTS and Dunfermline this season, not exactly the whipping boys which Falkirk currently are and Brechin were last season. Agree with EanieMeany, no superstars, will work with what they've got but decent enough to give all teams in this league a game. They have drawn more away games than they have lost to date. Would take a 1-0 right now but if we were to score a few then brilliant.

EanieMeany
A victory which takes our goal difference into plus will do. Just had a look at the table there, with Dundee United away at Ross County it's not inconceivable that we find ourselves up in third place on Saturday night. Ayr are playing Queen of the South too, who they got a hammering off of earlier in the season. The game down there the following week could end up being massive at the top of the table which is remarkable considering how things have went over the last couple of months. This league is bonkers, it can turn on its head every week. AWMSC

Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Would be happy enough with the same starting 11 as last week. Give Millar another week to get fit, maybe look to get him 15 minutes at the end if possible. Telfer might be more suited to this game anyway, I expect Alloa to sit in so he's probably a better attacking option. 2-0 win, McHugh continuing his good form with a another goal. irnbru
When Millar returns he should be in for McAlister, not Telfer. I'd have said the same until last week. McAlister was superb. Their midfield will still be having nightmares about him closing down.

dunning1874
Aye, McAlister had his best game of the season last week. Hopefully that's him growing into the role rather than having more to do with the level of the opposition, but he deserves to keep his place after that performance to show that he can maintain it.
