vikingTON
So you don't think staying in this league is important then? If the club was promising that they would learn from their ****-ups and try to make a better fist of it next season, then staying in the league would be the critical first step in that plan (similar to the position we were in in 2007/08). As the club has already put its cards on the table and promises a return to the glorious '8-8-8' squad structure, Dylan Dykes every week and (if we stay up) tedious football under a s***e manager then it really doesn't matter which level we're playing at. It'll all lead to seaside league football in the end. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

My preferred outcome would be that we stay up but with the current management team being relieved of their duties and someone like, say, Hopkin taking his place. Someone with a track record of moulding a squad similar to the one the board are looking for. 20.1.

TRVMP
They'll do 8-8-8 at the level below as well.
Jamie_M
To be clear, with 4 crucial games coming up in 2 weeks, unless we have someone ready to bring in, we will have Anderson and Sutton for poss 2 games if we sack him now. I know what you were trying to do, but you missed the fact that seeing the JJ hounding through to completion and him being emptied, followed by starting the Anderson and Sutton hounding from 20 minutes into their caretaker reign actually sounds quite appealing.
