  1. I agree with much of the above and am already a MCT member. However regarding David McKinnon's behaviour I can only assume that you know more than is in the public domain. All I know is that certain individuals have been blocked on the Club's official Twitter site for posting stuff considered to be personal and/or abusive. I don't know, nor have I seen any of the offending tweets. Furthermore I don't know if Mr McKinnon was responding because of complaints he had received from members of staff. If that was the case then he as CEO has a duty of care and would be obliged to respond appropriately. The statement he released was pretty routine and his offer to meet anyone who feels 'hard done by' seems on the face of it entirely reasonable. However as I said above I only know what is in the public domain, but if that is all there is to it I think his actions have been appropriate.
  2. OK I stand corrected? By the way, how did Sam Ramsbottom do today?
  3. and Michael Tidser still can't get a game for Division One Falkirk.
  4. As I remember it, Bolton was centre half for Raith and the Mason back heel took the ball over Bolton's head before Joe volleyed it in. However whether Raith or Third Lanark a wonderful piece of skill and great to watch.
  5. That goal was against Raith Rovers not Third Lanark, but your description of it is spot on. He was a great player for us and a really nice man.
  6. I would hope that the club have already identified exactly the players they need /want and are working hard to get them in. The funding from MCT has been on the agenda for many weeks
  7. Given that players are paid on a weekly / monthly basis that makes absolute sense.
  8. I sometimes wonder if English is your first language or not, but here goes. I agree with VT that the terms agreed between MCT and the Club are reasonable and also that setting up a Direct Debit was very easy. In terms of the former, ie the agreement with the Club I don't know what more indicative pledgers might have wanted or expected.
  9. What have you heard that is likely to put you off?
  10. Any manager who would allow a fans' group, however well intentioned to interfere in the signing of players would clearly be unsuitable for the job. So 'Yes', it is daft question.
  11. You are right that the pledges are an indication of commitment. However I am prepared to follow through with it if the working relationship between GC and MCT can be made clear and more importantly clearly able to fulfil on the principal motive which is to improve the quality of the players we are able to bring in. Anyone who has experience of working in an organisation which receives funding from another will be well aware of the difficulty of hypothecation and since the MCT initiative is developing just as the GC commitment is diminishing that difficulty might be well nigh an impossibility. We will see if what comes out over the next couple of weeks clarifies matters.
  12. As someone who has pledged the problem at the moment is that there remains a real lack of clarity as to how the scheme is supposed to operate. As the situation develops it seems to become more complex rather than more straightforward.
