Squad and transfers 2019/20

Hej

You big bad boo boys are expecting far too much from poor wee Morton. Everything will get better if we keep everything exactly the way it is and just bulieeeeeeeeeeeeve a bit more.

You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks!

Don’t think we’ve made a single loan signing yet so I’d imagine Hopkin’s been saving that option.

No shit Sherlock.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Dykes away to stenny on loan

Excellent.  Clearly Hopkin doesn't rate him either, but now he has the chance to show what he can do without us having to give him game time, all the time running down his contract.  Win win situation I think.

"Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."

It's pretty telling that Dykes has been farmed out for the entire season, given our squad size. Has he played a single minute under Hopkin, even in pre-season? He's a dud, nowhere near good enough for this level, and I can't even see him be9ing any good at League 2 level.

His signing was baffling at the time, apparently based on how he performed against us in a reserve match.

Since then he has done nothing so the loan out is good business.

I don't think the signing was that baffling. He was a young player we took a punt on when we needed numbers.

What was baffling was continuing to play him when it was clear he wasn't doing the job for us.

Aye the initial signing until the end of the season was fine, had a decent calibre and was worth looking at. What was baffling was the contract extension. After a few appearances you could see it wasn't going to work out with him. I also don't think he made a single appearance after the extension was signed. Truly astonishing.
