Ton4life
Well it early season and Hoppy has had two weeks to reflect on his best team but I fell this game could well define our season. Worry about no. of goals we concede Concerned that Ayr U look to still be above us in the pecking order. Not surprised Inverness did us away. Really need to leave a mark this weekend against a team who look in long term decline. Not necessarily a must win, but should win. Can't afford a loss. Anyway always a good day out. Doddie
Be tremendous to keep a clean sheet but it’s a game we should be winning as you said. They are in decline. Time for McAllister to depart the defence now we have natural defenders in. Would go with Welsh Baird Grant Strapp

Doddie
Edited! If we go back 3 then aye but I’d rather him there than Jacobs or McAllister
Scott
McLean should be emptied as soon as possible. Past it.
SpoonTon
We've got a real problem back there. I think it's abundantly clear that McLean shouldn't be near the team (I'd even take McAlister at centre half before him). This still leaves us with Baird, Welsh, and Grant. If we play a back 3, Salkeld hasn't shown anything in a defensive sense to suggest that he is suitable for right wing back. If we play a back 4 then we either need to hope that Welsh is much better there than he looked against ICT or put our faith in shoehorning McAlister or Jacobs in there. I think I'd b like to see: Rogers Right back Baird Grant Strapp Two of Millar/Jacobs/McAlister/Lyon Cadden Colville Nesbitt McHugh
Mr Toon
Even at this late stage I would hope that there is a quality, out of contract right back. It's such an obvious gap in our squad. Sort that and we have a reasonably balanced squad. Edit to add : Paul Caddis hasn't signed for anyone as far as I can see.
vikingTON
Rogers Welsh Baird Grant Jacobs Lyon Colville Cadden McHugh Sutton Nesbitt You could play Strapp or the new guy on the left and keep Cadden in his regular position instead - or have Jacobs in the middle and either McAlister or Salkeld on the right. The bottom line is that a back three is a far better fit for the squad that we’ve got and there are plenty of options to choose from. Ton in Shawlands
Just another game to help evaluate where we really are. Our wins came against the current bottom two. Here's hoping but I'm a bit pessimistic.

mcintyre_gmfc
No Nesbitt today. 9 changes made. Looks like Welsh at rb with Jim and Baird in middle.
Madton
5 centre mids starting, Hoppy quickly turning into Duffy more and more. With Nesbitt out, why not give Salkeld a shot? Feck knows how we will line up.

TRVMP
Going to make a controversial prediction here: we're likely to concede a goal. Don't @ me

vikingTON
Back 5 with Jacobs at RB That’s one of about fourteen equally possible formations from that lineup, sure. On the plus side, McLean is out so we no longer start at a -1 handicap and the bumpkins will be as equally confused by that lineup as anyone else. Their tactical planning has largely gone out the window but we need to actually execute a competent gameplan of our own to take advantage. El gofer
Most likely back 4, Millar, Jacobs and Lyon midfield with Colville and Cadden either side of Mchugh. Surprised Easdale didn't get a start after his media write ups this week..... 20.1.
