Meanwhile, in the lowly depths of the seaside leagues, King Snake and all his mercenary henchmen are slumping to a miserable home defeat to some tinpot outfit called 'Clyde'. What a terrible, wee shame.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Credit where credit's due, that's an excellent result against a team who will definitely be in the promotion stakes at the end of the season. Now let's move on to crush the little people's stupid wee bubble on Tuesday night.

That was an absolutely vital result for Hopkin in particular. I don't mean for his job, but for his reputation and for the general atmosphere around the club. Hopefully this is something we can build off (although we didn't build off our last home win, quite the opposite.)

Hopefully it also boosts the team's confidence a bit to come back to win after conceding.

Wasnt pretty and probably never deserved the win but delighted to take 3 points from that.

Started well for first 15-20 before Caley came back into it. Second half was just minging until the unexpected winner.

Thought Salkeld did well and caused them a lot of problems early on. Mchugh took his goals very well too. Defence was fairly solid throughout.

Not sure the Jim and Colville on each wing really worked, but glad to see Lyon back and thought he done well.

Would like to see Nesbitt back on Tuesday. Need to go into that looking for the win against an Ayr team who have lost their last 3.

Tbh pal, 20 quid a ticket is too high for a lot of people. 40 quid a month minimum to watch an insipid product on the park. I'm picking and choosing games to go to now. Today's a moot point as I'm stuck in Pompey, but that's naw the point!

Totally agree, 20 quid for this level is ridiculous. I paid 20 Euros (about 17 quid)  for a Belgian 2nd division match last night. The standard is not breathtaking but fairly decent, I'd say the top half of the league could live comfortably in the Scottish Premiership, and the bottom half in the Championship. For that 17 quid I had a good seat in the decent position, and access to a large comfortable lounge where the players came after the match to mingle with the fans. It was a whole night out, arriving at the stadium an hour before KO for pre-drinks, and staying behind for another hour after the game for post-drinks and chat with the players. It was a really good night out. Compare that to 20 quid at Cappielow, and it's clear that it's way overpriced.

Having said that much of their match income comes from the beer sales rather than the ticket price, which unfortunately isn't an option in Scotland unless you go to hospitality, so they can probably afford to keep the ticket prices low.

Nah, can’t get motivated to watch Morton at all. Some evidence of improvement needed before I’ll be back to Cappielow.

Sad days when I’m going to watch rugby at 3pm on a Saturday, rather going to watch Morton! It’s free, can stroll in at 2.59pm, can have a beer at the side of the pitch... and has been way more entertaining than going to Cappielow in recent months.

Sounds like you missed a fairly decent game, how did the Wanderers get on?
