I like how at the bottom of the article he says he's enticing players to sign by selling them on having a real go at winning this ****ing league. Amazed to see that the previous incumbent's 'we're just wee diddies who couldn't possibly compete with the likes of Livingston' pitch couldn't attract a similar calibre of player tbh. The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before.. So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. I maintain that a lot of this dripped down from the boardroom but between this and his media buddies' attempts to undermine the club I'm getting less and less impressed with Duffy. Scott Posted June 13, 2018 Share Posted June 13, 2018 I don’t expect us to be promoted this year and I wouldn’t be surprised if we were, but it would be delicious if we could finish in the top 3 and at least make it to the semis of the playoffs. Would get it right up everyone claiming how big a mistake it was sacking Duffy. For our level, the signings so far have been superb. Duffy wouldn’t have gone near McAlister or Millar. We already have options in midfield, with 4 CM’s that could all play with each other as a 2. There’s still a long way to go as we need a RB, at least 2 new CB’s, a LB, couple of wide players and a goal scorer. But so far, so good. I think that the likes of Oliver, Murdoch, and Tiffoney haven’t signed up by now suggests they’re gone. Don’t expect to see Jai back either, although I can’t imagine there’s a queue of clubs waiting on him after being crocked for 18 months. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
