Peter McDonald nominated for the Championship player of the year. How much more salt can be rubbed in the puss filled wound.

Jimmy Gourlay has just scored to put Morton 1-0 up. Hopefully we can hold on for a famous victory.

So was a cowdenbeath player who we could have signed and another two new signings.

They all signed for their teams at the start of the season.

Blame our signings rather than peaso leaving for a better contract.

Good on him. Best striker we've had in years, should have pushed the boat out to keep him... clueless.

In hindsight yes, but with his injury record can you blame Moore for only offering him a one year deal?

Not defending him for bringing in Cham as his replacement, mind.

Dean Keenan has been revealing some stories from his football career on Twitter today. A few from his Morton days probably! Examples being...

'singing championees in local boozer at Christmas when 10 points clear then finishing 4th'

'chairman & gaffer walk in with new signing and me and @Kierymac23 playing naked table tennis!@Midge_10'

'KO'd in @MidgeyMillar gaff while the lads are training... [phone voice] no well gaffer...Response - cool, not out last night?'

This season's been fucking dire, no question, one of the worst in the club's history, but I read stuff like that and remember it could be worse, we could have Dean Keenan and Kieran McAnespie gurning around the place.

The current squad is rancid and nondescript but has there ever been a less likeable figure at Cappielow than Dean Keenan? Maybe Andy Millen or Hugh Scott at a push.

James Grady and Allan McManus.

Keenan's just a total idiot, the likes of McManus and Millen are genuinely unpleasant people.

As far as Milne is concerned I was of the same opinion, however I met a former player of that era on holiday a couple of years back and we were talking about the club in that period. He told me that When things were going tits up and players not being paid etc. Milne would make sure that those players who were paying mortgages and bringing up young families got their wages before he took his.

To be fair he was also eligible for a state pension at the time.

(Nah for real though, that's actually good of him. Fair play.)

Heard the same. I dislike the guy but he's not the guy he's made out to be.
