A thread for any full matches that people are watching/recommend watching in place of live football doing this shan, shan virus imposed lockdown.

The BBC Scotland channel has been featuring a few vintage Scottish Cup games over the past week: as well as Hearts demolition of Hibs in 2012, they've also shown the classic 1991 Cup Final between Motherwell and possibly the most scumbag-laden Dundee United of all time:

On the international front, FIFA's Youtube stream has provided some high-profile clashes (as well as several no-mark contests involving the USA), including Italy beating Brazil in the 1982 World Cup and of course this:

Having now seen the full match for the first time I find it remarkable that England had even the slightest grievance given that they played like a gang of absolute haddies from start to finish: a bit like Rangers* when they inexplicably shitfested their way to the UEFA Cup final only to get rided by a only half decent Zenit team.

Glenn Hoddle was hilariously bad throughout, never mind his role in setting up the second goal. That he’s regarded as the great ‘cultured midfielder’ of English football in the 1980s underlines just how honking the standard was.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

I lived in London at the time and watched this in my local. Only the threat of getting my head kicked in from a pub full of seething cockney wankahs stopped me from jumping off my seat and going ballistic when Maradona scored the second. .

Not football, but Hafthor Bjornsson just deadlifted 501kg - beating the current record by a kilo. It wasn't in formal competition conditions (due to COVID) but it was using calibrated weights. Amazing to watch.

A superb Euro 2004 game between the Czechs and the Dutch, which could easily have ended 10-8 to either team.
