Lewis Strapp was definitely the stand-out in the Morton team. One thing that really impressed me was his long throw-ins which would be invaluable as his career progresses.

Done well too against a cracking winger.

I was on the way back from the San Marino game flying from Bologna to Heathrow earlier this season and I was sat next to a young guy who supported Elgin City and on telling him I was a Morton supporter he started raving about how good Lewis Strapp was. Having seen him now play I reckon he has the potential to become one of Morton's all-time greats, he has the potential to be as important a player for us as McInnes, Lindberg or Mahood were 25 years ago.

Edit to add: I don't want to jinx him, but we've got someone special there. I hope that we've got him on a proper contract where we can get a good transfer fee from him, and none of this 'Free Transfer to Partick' after a season pish like we had with Quitongo.

That's plenty.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Settle down here. We need to temper our expectations. For all he contributed on Friday, as is to be expected, he made a few defensive errors that fortunately weren't punished.

Comparisons of that ilk after a handful of meaningful games for the club helps absolutely nobody. Least of all Strapp himself.

You address me by my proper title, you little bollocks!

That's plenty.

What makes you think that emulating and surpassing the achievements of such greats as Peanut McNeil and George Anderson is so far beyond Lewis Strapp?

In fact, if Kieran Tierney is being hawked about for 30m+, what price Lewis Strapp? It's times like this that you wish Wee Jim McLean ran the club.

Agree about Strapp.  Still young and raw, but I've been impressed with what I've seen of him so far.  Seems to manage to tackle like a rocket propelled grenade without committing a foul.  Early days but we could have a decent prospect there, although having him in the starting line up removes the opportunity for any humour related to bringing him on as a sub...
