Not sure about that, re: no more players. Morton had sanctioned the Rudden signing and it was McKinnon who cancelled it, with the obvious intention of taking him to Falkirk.

I find the Rudden thing a bit strange. It does seem like we had an intention to sign him, but we also never looked to sign anyone else after he went to Falkirk (until we moved players on in the next window). We definitely could have done with another striker.

 

What's clear is that we were still looking to add to the squad but then never did.

McKinnon snaked us on the last day of the window though, and bringing in loan players outwith the window isn’t possible anymore. Other than waiting until January, the only option I could see would’ve been bringing in someone that was unattached, surely?

I still would have expected is to have at least tried to do something there, it's a route that we've taken plenty of times in the past. Perhaps we had a look at it and there was just nothing that could have been done. I just never got the impression that we were looking to add to the squad anymore.

Don't buy that one bit. A competent club would have still pushed it through, especially when it became clear McKinnon was off.

 

Short of kidnap I'm not sure what the club could have done to push it through?

Crawford in today's Tele saying the Falkirk offer for Tidser was crazy and not something we could compete with.

At least we’ve got an explanation.

We can’t throw crazy money at anyone, no matter how good they are.

That will certainly not be correct, it has to be at least £1000 p/w. Either way we can’t begin to question MT’s commitment to his family.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

 

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

£200p/w is what the difference was.

 

The no money bit... We are not paying a penny of o'connell's wages. Dunno what the script is with other loan players but that would suggest what Crawford alluded to has been the case since johansson came in.

McKinnon reneged on his contract in an entirely deceitful and dishonourable way.

Tidser is seeing his contract out and then moving on.

So what? If the move served to benefit his poor wee, bedraggled family then that's all he should have thought about when making his decision. Either that or we can just file that sob story in the bin and call mercenary snake conduct for what it is.
