Midtable teams generally can't compete with a moneybags outfit that now has several years of Premiership prize money and parachute payments to work with as well.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Yep, with the redistribution of wealth when the SPFL came into being there really should’ve been no need for parachute payments (not that there was a need for them in the first place).

You’ve also omitted the £400k that Ross County and Partick collected as a result of Celtic’s hounding in last season’s Champions League.

Mckeown looked ok when mckinnon was in charge, obviously JJ doesn't want him and plays iredale who isn't a fullback we should go back to a 4-4-2 play Mckeown at left back with iredale in front of him and drop kilday, as for Thomson Duffy needs shot for giving him a 2yr deal he's stole a wage off the club

Hasn’t McKeown played the majority of games under JJ since he came in?

Dropping Kilday to create the dream team partnership of Buchanan and Waddell is a cracker too. The pair of them have been the weakest links in our back line for weeks.

Kilday, Buchanan, and Waddell have all been pish for weeks. Your love-in with Kilday is noted but since he returned from injury he has shown nothing to suggest he should be in the starting line-up. Unfortunately, the squad is so lacking no other player has stood up demanding selection ahead of Kilday.

Kilday was the standout defensive performer against both Partick and Ross County and hasn't been shipping/slicing goals into his own net like Saint Kerr or that useless poser Buchanan. That doesn't make him the same player that he was prior to his injuries or a must-keep asset in the squad - he's neither - but it does make the suggestion of pairing Waddell and Buchanan together right now absolutely laughable.

it's clear that many members of the fanbase made their mind up about Kilday a long time ago. The actual performances of our first team defenders are irrelevant compared to their irrational seethe about him.

Yeah, Kilday’s clearly a poorer player since his injury and barring a significant improvement over the remainder of the season I’d be letting him go in the summer, but over the last month or so Buchanan and Waddell have both been comfortably worse than him.
