O'Ware, Lamie and Iredale on new deals asap. Same with Murdoch and Harkins if we can get them.

Start from there and let the new manager rebuild around them.

Peter Weatherson is the greatest player since Ritchie, and should be assigned 'chairman for life'

Personal opinion time:

For me we should release both forwards if possible.

We should also do our utmost to re-sign the following players ASAP:

Andy Murdoch (M)
Ricki Lamie (D)
Gary Oliver (F)
Jai Quitongo (F)
Lewis Strapp (D)
Jack Iredale (D)
Tam O'Ware (D)

I don't know if these loanees are available but I'd also look at getting back:

Frank Ross (M)
Gary Fraser (M)

The jury, for me, is out on:

Lee Kilday (D) (depends on his fitness)
Gary Harkins (M) (same)
Conor Brennan (G)
Derek Gaston (G)
Mark Russell (D) (leaning towards 'keep')
Scott Tiffoney (M) (same)

And the following should be released:

Michael Doyle (D)
Ross Forbes (M)
Ruaridh Langan (M)
John Baird (F) (loan return)
Jamie McGowan (G)
Luca Gasparotto (D) (loan return)

Quitongo in the maybe pile for me if he's on top end striker wages. I really like him as a player but we can't afford to take risks on players with injury records like that.

I wouldnt mind seeing Tiffoney offered a 2 year deal with the first 6 months/year on loan .

I worry about his age but if he still looks fit and hungry, agreed.

Can totally understand that but he’s been a great addition this season. He should be able to offer something next season.

Keep Gaston,Brennan, Lamie, Oware, Russell, Iredale, Harkins, Tidser, Murdoch, Oliver, Quitongo. I know the jury is out but I wouldn't be against McHugh staying. He's a decent option to have at this level.

Everyone else can go. We need to get better players in than we have but knowing Duffy he'll re-sign most of the squad.

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

He's the literal opposite of a decent option. Four league goals, two of which were against relegation fodder Brechin and Dumbarton. Meanwhile when we needed him to step up recently at Almondvale he didn't do it, and he's been squandering chances two weeks in a row.

A weak, brainless poacher who can't actually finish.

For me I would start next season with the following -

Gaston but sign a competitive number two to push him as he can make a worldly followed by a P5 clanger.

Iredale

Lamie

Oware

Kilday (6month deal)

Strapp (loan out for further development for 6months)

Forbes (6month deal)

Harkins

Tidser

Murdoch

Oliver

I have not included Quitongo as I do not foresee him signing a new deal and with regards to Tiffoney, if Swansea are still interested Inwould sell him and maybe loan back. He has a lot of development to go.

I have not included loan players as they will automatically rejoin their parent club.

Release.

Doyle is no good at this level. He can go to Clyde with Duffy.

Thomson is as per the above.

McHugh wound be a good player for an Ayr United or Airdrie. Not good at this level.

Russell - too hot and cold and we can't afford to have passengers.

Mickey Doyle could not trap a bag of cement, possibly the worst player I have ever seen grace Cappielow. He plays as if he is wearing wellies.

Duffy is actually ruining some players out there the way he has them playing.

Duffyball is hopeless to play and desperate to watch, he has to put his hands up now and just call it quits, drive his car right in the water tonight

Please specific what year Russell was last 'hot'. Got to go.

Wouldn't say year as such I would say games. He has had games where he has looked fine but then others he is all at sea.

I think Iredale playing at Left back has arguably highlighted his limitations at times and even when Lamie has covered he has looked composed.

Duffys first season he was fine but you could argue that was due to the level of competition but like I say, he has been hit and cold as we can't afford passengers.

I know we’re all frustrated but saying he’s the worst player you’ve seen at Cappielow is a bit far. There’s been far worse players than him. He’s ok defensively but going forward you can see glaring weaknesses. He’s a likeable guy but sadly if we want to go further we need better.

He is poor but Thompson is absolutely howling.
