Falkirk v Morton 20/04/19

Delighted with that, sounds like we deserved it too.

So what's the sketch with mathematical safety? Two points to keep it 100% in our hands, but let's say we lose both games, what needs to happen elsewhere to finish 8th or better?

If we lose both remainin games, we would need two of the following to happen to finish 8th or higher (if we lose to Dunfermline, they are safe):

Partick getting no more than one win from two games against Ayr and one away at Queens (and still having a worse GD)

Queens getting no more than one point from Ross County Away and Partick at home

Alloa getting no more than one point from ICT home and Ayr Away

Falkirk not winning at Dundee Utd AND home to Ross Co.

Falkirk look nailed  :thumbup2: but all the others seem to be longer odds - so think we still need a point or two

Mckinnon wasn't with us long enough to know if he was good or not. I'm glad we got to find out through him seemingly relegating Falkirk.

What makes it even sweeter is that he waited to give their fans hope first by getting them in the mix before dragging them right back down to the shambles they were when he took over.

Good people will do good things, bad people will do bad things, but only with religion do good people do bad things!

Ray McKinnon proving to be a pretty s***e manager.

You backed him to effortlessly sword The Famous just a few hours ago.

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

Ayr basically need to lose all of their remaining games - I don't see that happening.

Delighted with that today. Results could’ve been better from teams below us but what a lift this will give the players and the club going into the last two games.

Imagine Falkirk in 10th and Jim Goodwin’s Alloa going down in the play offs. That would be glorious

Cheers - it's two tough games to come but I reckon we'll get at least one point.

Did anyone else notice the Falkirk fans in the South Stand going ballistic at the players at the end? Shame game Falkirk style, glorious 😂

They showed on Falkirk TV about six of them sitting in the stands long after the stadium emptied shouting abuse about their board.

It was so delicious to watch.

If we lose both we most likely finish 9th. But Alloa could get beat twice whilst QotS could get beat off County then either draw or lose with Partick.

Falkirk going area down and thistle down via the playoffs is my preferred option. Fucking despise them both

There's a storm on the horizon

And for that I can't see the sun

For I'll keep a waiting on the pavement

For the ice cream van to come

I know Ayr have been rancid for months, but it’s far from an unrealistic scenario for Partick to fail to win either of their two games with them while QoS lose to County. If going into the last day we’re above both with one of them being 2 points behind, or 1 behind with a worse goal difference, we’ve already stayed up.

Assuming Falkirk don’t win twice, of course.

Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake

Brian Wake my Lord, Brian Wake

Oh Lord, Brian Wake

Fuck that, get Partick down as well. Horrible smug cunts. And other FT side out the division. We could have 3 PT teams and an absolute rabble of a Dobbie-less QOS in the division next year. Even JJ would struggle to get relegated in that league

Couple of twitter pics - a few heads in hands in the home end in this one.

Happy looking Tidser in this pic.

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.
