HamCam
Not often I have much time for Kris Boyd but I tend to agree with his comments in this article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41897811 I know there are and probably will be more call-offs but some of the names drafted in do not impress. TRVMP
We've gone from one extreme to the other - managers who won't pick popular, on-form players out of stubbornness, to one who's just picking diddies. Jack, Hanlon and McLean in particular are highly unlikely to ever make the grade at international level. That said, I think Christie is worth a shot due to his age

TONofmemories
Very unprofessional of Boyd. Whilst it's hard to disagree with some of his points, he shouldn't be being as much of a cunt as he is whilst hes still a professional football player. Seems to me that he's trying too hard to be Sutton in the hope that in 6 months he lands a gig. TIME FOR CHANGE!
Malt
I wish they would remove Boyd, Commons and Sutton from the commentary booth. All three are morons. I don't know what is worse, Malky McKay in the dug out or the group of players selected. Looks like Pan B for a gaffer with Moyes off to West Ham. Think all the eggs were in the Moyes basket. EanieMeany
Kris Commons is a fat, lazy, waste of space. Cunt. I don't really have a problem with casting the net a bit wider in friendlies, right enough. One of Strachan's big failings was sticking with the same old players rather than trying to get guys like McGinn as many minutes as possible. As well as the obvious and immediate issues with that, there's also longer-term one in that we could be getting to the '19/20 season and finding ourselves without a team, much in the way that happened at the end of Craig Brown's time: Snodgrass, Brown, Fletcher, Morrison and MacArthur are all going to be well in to their 30's by then. Of the newer batch, I thought McLean done pretty well in the friendly he played last year, wouldn't mind seeing him getting another wee run out. There's nothing to be lost from it, really. Jack, on the other hand, is a bizarre: at one point he did look to be a bright prospect but he hasn't really developed as you might have hoped, even before you look at his comedy stint at the Rangers. TRVMP
Fans always whine about giving the fringe players a run-out but most of them are fringe for a reason. If McLean ever turns out to be a Scotland regular we're in deep, deep trouble. There are obvious exceptions such as Gordon Greer but for the most part if you're in your mid-20s without having made the cut, you're probably not going to make it. So the likes of Christie need to be seen as a higher priority than McLean or Hanlon.
