  1. Wasn’t surprised when I saw the line up and felt confident that if we worked as hard as we did in the Hearts game then we’d get at least a point. Two problems with that though is that firstly, it was clear that the same motivation was not there for the Partick game as the Hearts game and secondly, the strange choices of who played which role in this awful performance. Big hole at right back for parts of the first half as Darragh was so far up the park and French in a midfield role he wasn’t capable of, maybe fortunate we weren’t punished more at times. Looked better when the young lads came on and had a go resulting in a goal that was just too little too late. Absolute comedy listening to some of the fans giving Blues grief. I’ve defended him before and I will again. In a game with very little to be happy about Blues was the scapegoat with one guy saying he has been awful for the last 4 games. Kinda feels like you’re blaming the same player for 4 defeats and let’s be honest, he has not been our worst player by any stretch. Just seems to be the easy target for folk
  2. Blues has been fantastic but unfortunately where I stand there is still a guy that blames him for pretty much everything, even when it’s clearly not him at fault. I think it’s just an automatic reaction from the guy. Although on Saturday it was Jai that was getting it from a group near me. I’m pretty sure if Oakley missed that header it would have been a case of unlucky and let’s move on but they were moaning about pretty much everything Jai done, clearly forgetting how our first came about. Anyway, Broadfoot did look a bit shaky but the game became really messy in general later on and I am certainly not going to be throwing abuse at any of our players for that. What I would say is that Waters coming on for Strapp seemed to change the way Airdrie attacked down that side, maybe that was coming anyway as they were trying to get back in but Megwa (I think) seemed to have almost no defensive responsibilities after that change and it did look like they fancied their chances on that side. Also, Airdrie are just dirty and always have been. How they ended that game with only 2 yellows is farcical.
  3. The fact that he is still our manager would suggest that he hasn't bailed at the first opportunity now wouldn’t it?
  4. Pepper is definitely a player I liked. Felt he done a decent job at right back considering it wasn’t his natural position and was gutted about his injury. Good to see him do well as it looked like his career was over at one point.
  5. I was confused with the Robbie Muirhead one at the time based on the fact he had been booked for the tackle. My belief was that due to the booking there could be no action taken afterwards as the referee had acted. Had he missed it then I understand it can be looked at but as stated above I thought if the ref sees it then it’s done. The Robbie Muirhead one suggests that isn’t really the case then?
  6. Did he play a competitive match for us? I recall something along the lines of him being involved in a game and got injured about 5 minutes in but was it a real game?
  7. Pepper was a player I really quite liked and was gutted with how things went for him. Glad to hear he’s doing well elsewhere. Definitely had more about him than Telfer in my opinion.
  8. Have to agree with this. A few moments in which he looked not bad but overall he did little to suggest to me he was of Championship level. Certainly doesn’t belong in the starting lineup of any team looking towards a promotion push to the top league.
  9. Buchanan won’t be missed. When Lee Kilday is looking decent in comparison during a game then you know that changes NEED made!
  10. Wasn’t bothered to see Oliver leave. Agree that he started well with us but that potential never developed into much more. Potential is useless if you do nothing with it.
