so72
Did someone on here a while back not say QP are throwing money at the first team now? If they are this stance makes sense, they could (in theory) jump to the Championship in one season if reconstruction went ahead and they invest well in the 1st team squad. Never gonna happen though when the old serpent is in charge of first team matters Yeah Willie Haughey is chucking a substantial amount into QP
Pedrodelawasp
If they manage to get this through and we have 14 team divisions, would a 6-8 split be brought in to avoid the issue of having one team without an opponent on the final day that would occur with a 7-7? The larger split of each division would end up having played 40 league games, while the smaller would finish after 36.

The larger split of each division would end up having played 40 league games, while the smaller would finish after 36. That was what was proposed for the Premiership with the other divisions to decide what they want to do themselves if it looked like reconstruction was going to be approved. The thinking for the Premiership was that the extra games for the bottom section would offset the loss of a potential home game against one of the ugly sisters. Toby
I'm interested to see how the rules will pan out in the event of the virtual season tickets taking off. Will fans be able to buy tickets for one off games, and will clubs be able to cover away games on their own channels as they can do outwith the UK just now, specifically? In the Premiership for example, Livingston's biggest earner under normal circumstances would be a game against Celtic or Rangers of course, both fixtures likey to be shown on Sky, which would probably mean a blackout (in the UK at least) of their club channel for those particular fixtures, resulting in the only income coming from the game being their regular TV revenue that they'd be entitled to anyway. Meanwhile, Rangers and Celtic home games are rarely televised, allowing them to cash in on not only their virtual season ticket holders, but also fans who wouldn't normally attend games. They could in theory increase the amount of folk paying to watch their home games. More pertinently, let's look at the Championship. If we were to manage to broadcast our home games, what would we get, 400 season ticket holders at a push? Maybe another 50 that would be walk up fans? So, if we were to play Hearts for example, would Hearts be allowed to broadcast Morton v Hearts live from Cappielow on their own channel? The result of this would of course be that Hearts could possibly get 1000-2000 subsribers for a fixture like that and the money from our home game would actually end up in Ann Budge's pocket, as the Hearts fans wouldn't pay Morton TV to watch their team if their own club were providing coverage. On the flip side of course, we'd be able to broadcast our own away games and our fans would probably use Morton's offering, but let's be honest, when you scribble some figures on the back of a fag packet, the bigger clubs, with the bigger supports would definitely be the beneficiaries here. The cynic in me sees this scenario playing out, and it's one that our club and others of a similar stature should be making sure doesn't happen very early in these discussions. Chesh
Good interview with the Mackinnon there. We will offer streaming services from the get go with commentary and hopefully some build up with likely with Gerry doing the comms. Spfl are also installing cameras at all championship grounds. Season ticket holders will be first back allowed Into the stadium if small crowds are allowed entry Touched again on the new website which is being built up to accommodate the streaming services with the intent to start ton tv aswell. He believes Ann Budges proposal is dead in the water due to the fact there would be 6 potentially 7 teams relegated from the championship in two years time, we will vote against it. He is looking at offering extended contracts to players but only if doesbt put the club in financial troubles. Some special Kit announcement to be made which will excite the fans. Doesnt believe any build up to the kit release was necessary due to the current situation. Believes we would have made the play offs last season and had set a goal of being there again this season. Im making perfect sense, your just not keeping up.My Twitter - https://twitter.com/RJChesh

TheGoon
Facilities/actually getting in would be the obvious issue, but I reckon if we used all 4 stands we could just about manage not far off our average attendance doing social distancing.
