"derby" Fixture For Next Season

Recommended Posts

Looking at the the other 9 teams in the first division next season, I've been trying to identify, which side could be deemed, by the fixture fixers, as our "Derby Day" opponents.

Possible derby pairings could be: St. Johnstone v Dundee, Dunfermline v Livvy, Hamilton v Clyde, Partick v Stirling which would leave us with QOS!

Hardly a local derby but because the other 4 pairings, I've previously mentioned, matches teams who are within fairly close proximity to each other together - then that leaves only QOS and Morton!

Maybe it doesn't work like this, but I Would be interested to hear what others think.

QoS v Morton is fine by me......

"Any nation given the opportunity to regain its national sovereignty and which then rejects it is so far beneath contempt that it is hard to put words to it."

Plenty of games with an extra edge to them though.....

McGhee needs some support, there's no-one backing him up.
Hayes playing it forward, Bell being forced to do it all alone, now forward from Marr, here's Ritchie, still Andy Ritchie, look at the control...

That is a marvellous goal from Andy Ritchie. Twenty minutes on the clock and Morton's supporters come alive. A goal which epitomises the control, the arrogance, the cheek of Andy Ritchie.

St Johnstone v Dundee

Dunfermline v Lavvy

Partick v Clyde

Stirling v Hamilton

Morton v QOS

Mix and match the last two. B)

The site is supposed to be a place for the extended 'family' of Morton supporters - having an affinity with people that you don't know, because you share a love of your local football club. It's not supposed to be about point scoring and showing how 'clever' or 'funny' you are, or just being downright rude and offensive to people you don't know, because you can get away with it. Unfortunately, it seems the classic case of people who have little standing/presence in real life, use this forum as a way of making themselves feel as if they are something. It's sad, and I've said that before..

So, having been on Morton forums for about 15 years I guess, I've had enough... well done t*ssers, another Morton supporter driven away. You can all feel happy at how 'clever' you are

yes, but i'm guessing that people on here are going by where clyde traditionally came from, rather than their new home.

Clyde's traditional Derby opponents would have been Hamilton, but there is a lot of venom between Partick/Clyde due to the nomadic years.

TIME TO GO, JIM

QoS (especially away) will be a right needle match.

Whilst many of the team from THAT game are now gone, the ill-feeling lasted a long time after.

I think the bad feelings between the fans ended the last time we played, they won promotion we won relegation and both sets of fans shook hands on the park at the end. I personally don't think that game will be what some folk think.

The cup game was after their title game.
